Matter of Britain (In Production)
Matter of Britain is a moving image artwork made by the villagers of Mayfield, which performs 13 Chapters from Thomas Mallory’s Le Morte Darthur between February 2023 and February 2024. The project is an opportunity for Mayfielders to express their ecological concerns through the legend of the Waste Land, connect with the agricultural landscape of the High Weald, engage in art practice and build community. The ongoing production is documented here, and is supported by an Arts Council of England Project Grant.
